Hi! I’m Yiqian (Amy) Wang, a sophomore at Rice University double majoring in Economics and Statistics, expecting to graduate in 2027. I’m passionate about finance and data-driven problem solving. Over the past year, I’ve been building experiences across both fields: At Rice, I joined the Computational Wellbeing Group, where I use Python to analyze data on Alzheimer’s caregivers. I also became a member of the Finance Club, and this semester I’ll be diving deeper into the healthcare sector. Last summer, I interned in the Investment Banking Division at Ping An Bank in China, focusing on M&A projects, where I worked on valuation models and gained hands-on exposure to industry research and deal execution. I’m comfortable with financial modeling (DCF, comps, etc.), coding in Python and R, and working with the usual business tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
