Paris Gilbert graduated from California Polytechnic University at San Luis Obispo with a B.S. in Animal Science on June 11, 2016. Years before starting at Cal Poly, Paris began her veterinary career as a volunteer kennel assistant in a feline exclusive veterinary practice, The Cat Doctor and Friends in Santa Clarita, CA. At only 16 years old, she quickly was hired on to work part time after school and on weekends. Once graduating high school with honors, Paris continued working her way up the ranks of The Cat Doctor to become a valued veterinary assistant. At Cal Poly, Paris branched out of the small animal field by volunteering at The Marine Mammal Center in Morro Bay, CA and by participating in various equine programs at Cal Poly. For 2 years, Paris was one of the managers of the Foaling Enterprise and was responsible for the care of 25 mares and foals as well as 40 students.
