About
I currently work as a veterinarian at Banfield with a focus in preventative care and a special interest in diagnostics and employing my clinical pathology training to the local tidewater area. I aim to implement my PhD research training and thought process to my practice of medicine and in problem solving challenging cases. I have recently graduated a combined clinical pathology residency and PhD in comparative medicine at The Ohio State University. My research interests include the study of cancer immunology using molecular techniques and in vivo animal model systems. I have a strong interest in investigating the mechanisms of bone metastasis in both spontaneous and experimentally induced animal models, to include the use of testing experimental therapeutics, with an intent to apply this understanding to patients in both veterinary and human medicine.
