I am a board-certified emergency and addiction medicine physician. After medical school at the University of Michigan I completed four years of emergency medicine training at The Johns Hopkins Hospital with a focus on medical administration and telemedicine. After graduation I became faculty at The University of Michigan with a position at Hurley Medical Center, the level I trauma center in Flint, MI. While working in Flint I won numerous teaching awards, held educational administrative positions and implemented clinical pathways for ED based universal HIV screening, narcan distribution, and medications for the treatment of opioid use disorder. I moved with my family to Grand Rapids in the summer of 2020 and continue to practice emergency medicine at Trinity Grand Rapids Hospital, a level II trauma center in addition to their free standing sites in Byron Center and Rockford.
