University Academic Services is a newly created shared services department for Career Education Universities (American Intercontinental University and Colorado Technical University). As a department operations analyst I have been able to assist with the creation of reports and tools for the following departments: Prior Learning Assessment (PLA), Registrar, Library Services, and Program Development. Academic Quality Analyst

With there being nearly 1,100 faculty members with CTU Online the Academic Quality Analyst role ensures that students are receiving a consistent academic experience. This is completed by monitoring classrooms before, during, and after the session and also monitoring grading deadlines. This role also works with students who appeal grades earned by investigating the situation and presenting results of that investigation to the appeals board. Daily duties consist of the following: - Weekly review of instructor classrooms to ensure faculty expectations are being met including weekly grade postings - Compiling report of faculty virtual campus activity In addition to normal duties I continue to work by developing reporting tools for the cohort of Kaiser Permanente students. Most recently development includes the combination of several reports and use of VBA to provide calculations and increase accuracy of grade reporting.

Throughout my time here I have had the opportunity to work with a variety of students through individual counseling, group counseling, crisis intervention, and various other situations. While in my internship I helped bring many things to the school including the creation of a student assignment details report, which details every grade from every assignment and can be broken down into several categories.
