▪ Worked as one of three doctors (grew to five doctors during my time) in a high-volume, non-appointment based small animal practice where I saw a variety of medical and surgical cases. Continue to serve as relief staff. ▪ Served as clinic manager overseeing approximately 50 employees during solo hours. ▪ Developed governing protocol and guideline system for the reception, pet lodge, and hospital staffs.

▪ Worked in the emergency department during the PM swing shift where I communicated with anxious clients, triaged ill or injured animals, and managed the ongoing treatment of in-hospital patients. ▪ Gained immense experience in high-stress, high volume clinical environments during the wildfires of Oct 2017.

▪ Accepted for an eight week veterinary student preceptorship where I gained clinical experience with veterinary aspects of maintaining captive and free-ranging wildlife in a zoological setting. Emphasis was placed on preventative health programs, quarantine, clinical pathology, pathology, nutrition, behavioral enrichment, husbandry, and management of a variety of species. ▪ Completed and presented a research project entitled “Panamanian Golden Frogs: Tetany Morbidity and Mortality.”

▪ Accepted for a four week veterinary student externship where I assisted and observed veterinarians with clinical cases, treatments, immobilizations, surgeries, necropsies, and record keeping. ▪ Completed and presented a research project entitled “Great Ape Heart Disease.”
