Of which 20 years with overall operational and strategic responsibility at market-leading payment companies. Since 2018 independent advisor, board member, chair, and investor in the payment/fintech/digital banking industry. In September, 2025, he stepped in from the supervisory board chair role of the digital bank N26 SE into the Co-CEO role of the digital bank, driving the next phase of transition and evolution. Since April 2026 he is a member of the management board further supporting the transition phase of N26.Occasional he is a valued commentator, speaker, author, editor on topics related to the wider fintech sector. His areas of interest: working with startups and scaleups, venture capital, private equity to drive digitalization, strategic growth, transformation, and governance excellence. He is a convinced European who is interested in economic and political developments.
