I worked as a veterinary assistant at a busy rural mixed animal practice for five years while attending classes at the University of Tennessee at Martin, and, as a result, have acquired many technical and communication skills. I received two Bachelor's degrees during my undergraduate work. Upon completion of my Veterinary Technology Bachelor's degree, I completed a six-week internship at Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine. I am now going into my fourth and final year of veterinary school. Since entering this profession, I have developed a very strong interests in theriogenology and orthopedic surgeries.

I was fortunate enough to attend an internship at the College of Veterinary Medicine in Auburn, Alabama. I had three two-week rotations at the equine theriogenology barns, equine medicine and surgery center, and the oncology department.
