Small Animal Rotating Intern
Primary case responsibility at a 24 hour Emergency and Referral hospital. Rotated through many specialties including: cardiology, critical care, emergency, internal medicine, neurology, oncology, ophthalmology, and surgery. Experience with exotics.
Clinical Year - Rotating Student
Student Work Study
Updated study materials for 1st and 2nd year courses at University of Pennsylvania’s School of Veterinary Medicine. Requirements included self-motivation, self-discipline, and ability to stay on task with minimal supervision. Skills included website editing.
Social Chair and Webmaster

Kept the students, faculty, clinicians and staff up-to-date on social events, fundraisers, important speakers, meetings, etc. by updating PennVet's online-calendar and website (Inside.Vet). Kept the student body updated on various social events by frequently updating the PennVet SAVMA social media pages including Facebook and instagram. Planned various social events for the school throughout the year.
Parvo Outpatient Clinic Extern
Philadelphia SPCA
Provided outpatient care to parvovirus-positive dogs in the city of Philadelphia. Worked to educate owners about parvovirus and the importance of vaccines and other preventative health measures. Gained valuable experience in community outreach and education.
Teaching Assistant
Assisted in the Anatomy Animal Science Lab including sample dissections, grading and other related activities.
Research Assistant
Assisted in a study on the immunology of the bovine digestive tract.

Plumpton Park Zoological Gardens Inc.
Daily animal care including, but not limited to, diet preparation, animal observation, and maintaining a clean environment. Proposed enrichment ideas for the animals.

Volunteer Veterinary Assistant
North Shore Animal League America · Alex Lewyt Medical Center
Provided daily care of cats and dogs under the supervision of the veterinarians and technicians. Explored veterinary medicine and techniques through the observation of surgeries and procedures. Previously had volunteered in the adoption center from July 2011 to August 2012.
