I am a new graduate veterinarian in Southern California who graduated from the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2025. Prior to veterinary school, I worked with various different animal species at several veterinary hospitals as a Veterinary Assistant and volunteered with different animal rescues. My experience in receptionist work (filing and scheduling appointments), using the Avimark Software, creating and distributing medications to clients and animals, administering vaccinations and oral medications, and properly handling and restraining different animal species has been strengthened through each experience. I also possess a Veterinary Controlled Substance Permit, so I have managed bookkeeping for several controlled drug substances before as well.
