Honor research: Mate Choice for Bright Color Patterns in the Harlequin Bug (Murganita historionica) (Awarded $4,000 undergraduate fellowships) • Designed and awarded scholarships to performed daily observations for mating activities of 30 pairs of harlequin bugs in laboratory settings to test female preference for males. • Quantified by examining observational data and computational data and reported conclusions at public events on relationships between color patterns and mating behaviors in harlequin bugs.
