About
I am currently a part-time associate veterinarian at a small animal clinic in Lawrenceville, GA. We see primarily dogs and cats, but my experience in laboratory animal medicine has allowed me to expand the clinic's exotics practice. My favorite aspect of private practice is working with clients and serving as a trusted resource for how to take the best possible care of their pets. My career interests lie in general veterinary medicine, laboratory animal medicine, comparative medicine, animal behavior, pathology, public/ population health, and education. I have a background in "bench top" laboratory research, and I am familiar with basic laboratory techniques (PCR, electrophoresis, cell culture, flow cytometry, etc). For the first 2 years of my employment with the Animal Medical Center I also performed multiple management functions such as staff scheduling, interviewing/hiring, and engagement.
