About
Born and raised in East Tennessee, I earned my Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a Pre-Veterinary Medicine focus and double minored in Biology and International Agriculture at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. I went on to earn my veterinary medicine degree at the University College Dublin in Ireland after falling in love with the country and culture while studying abroad during undergrad. I currently practice at a small animal general practice in Sevierville, TN. I hold both a TN Veterinary License and DEA controlled substance license. At work I enjoy all aspects of veterinary medicine, but find particular joy in soft tissue surgery and working with clients on patient nutrition. In my free time, I am happy to be back to my East Tennessee roots and close to family, friends, and my rescue dogs Millie and Yertle.

Four day elective rotation placement in a busy 24/7 emergency-only hospital in Asheville. Worked with many different vets and nurses on a variety of cases, including a foreign body retrieval via endoscope, dyspneic cats, bear fight wounds on two dogs, hemoabdomen, several euthanasias, a pet chicken attacked by a hawk, IMHA dog that received a blood transfusion, a ferret with DIM, and a parvo puppy. I also scrubbed into and assisted on a 4.5 hour dystocia-caesarean-spay surgery of a bulldog. Also experienced first hand how an open concept vet clinic works and affects client communications, the human-animal bond, and adds value to a veterinarian's work in the eyes of the owner.
