At encore | DB, we manufacture sustainable and efficient energy storage systems from disused and surplus electric mobility batteries. In 2019, I started my journey at Deutsche Bahn as a Digital Trainee, where I got to know different areas of DB and developed a business idea for the DB Group. After the 2020 trainee program, I worked for 1.5 years as a Strategy Consultant in the business development of DB Connect. At the same time, I developed the business idea into a business model with my colleagues Lucas, Fabian and Philipp in DB's internal start-up program, DB Intrapreneurs. We found the perfect investor in the DB Bahnbau Group and founded the corporate startup encore | DB in September 2021.
