Field work includes handling barn swallows and their nestlings, drawing blood, extracting plume samples, tagging birds with geolocator tags, banding birds, daily nest checks, weighing hatchlings and observing barn swallows to identify social pairs and associate each individual with their nest. Lab work includes data entry and tracking Hirundo rustica erythrogaster as they migrate from North to South America.
