I am assessing the impact of metal compounds on the selection and resistance of APEC-associated disease in poultry. Specifically, the impact of metal resistance on virulence and the selection of APEC in poultry challenge models. Data generated from this study will allow us to examine the long-term effects of these alternative intervention strategies for APEC control.
