Having joined my first startup team in 1999 and run Germany's first accelerator program im 2010, I'm probably Germany's most active professional startup mentor. My monthly "speed-mentoring" meetup alone has been running since 2015, with some 130 sessions and about a thousand ideas pitched so far. In September 2019, I started my podcast about why and how to become a Business Angel. This is based on the observation that less than 1% of wealthy Germans engage as startup investors. Find the Angels Of Deutschland podcast on Spotify, Apple, and Google. Since 2015, I have also been active working with leadership teams of German corporations and universities, helping them to use digitalization and entrepreneurship to re-organize, scale, and thrive. A core concept is that the ways business angels and mentors create value in the startup ecosystem can also be massively beneficial in established organizations, even in traditional industries, science, and public administration.
