From selling $8K pieces of fitness equipment through Twitter in ‘08, writing Amazon’s playbook to treat “Sellers like Vendors” ‘13, building AI shopping agents (with Meta) for Amazon Mexico in ‘18 to profitably scaling Staples to become one of the largest Marketplace Sellers in the world. I build and scale businesses by identifying what is structurally limiting performance - and redesign them to unlock both growth and profitability. General Manager - Diehard
Responsible for the DieHard brand vision, strategy and initiatives and for aggressively delivering attractive financial results for our DieHard business. Responsible for all elements of the brand including: product development and design, sourcing, vendor management strategies, marketing, business development, and customer experience. Managed P&L with revenues in excess of $350M and grew EBITDA to approximately $20M (+18% YoY) by extending the DieHard brand into new product categories, distribution channels, and markets.
Director of Merchandising Strategy/Dmm - Fitness
Responsible for the profitable growth of major segments of the Sears fitness business across multiple channels. Conceptualized and led the nationwide implementation of 21 specialty 'store in store' concepts which resulted in sales and margin growth of +31% in these markets in 2010. This initiative continued to drive 30-50% YoY results that exceeded SHLD's high ROIC threshold and an additional 35 stores since been launched. I'm proud of the leadership team that championed my wild (it completely makes sense) idea and continued drive this initiative taking Sears Specialty business from $0 to +$50M in less than three years. Led Sears' market segment share leading treadmill and elliptical businesses to 190 bps MSS gain and +10% margin growth in 2010. Profitably grew the fitness business on www.sears.com by 45% CAGR from Jan '09 through April '11 by introducing key brands and additional categories, creating compelling merchandising campaigns, and improving the site experience.
