Returned to Lap of Love full-time in 2024. Past: Part-time in Sacramento from Spring 2022 - Fall 2023. Lap of Love is the nation's largest network of veterinarians solely dedicated to end-of-life veterinary care providing in-home euthanasia, veterinary hospice, teleadvice, and pet loss support services. Our purpose is to serve the veterinary end-of-life space by creating a peaceful and personal experience for pets and the people who love them. Our veterinarians and veterinary care coordinators offer compassionate, open-minded guidance and grief support to pet parents who are deciding when, how, and why to either euthanize or continue medical management for their pet. Our philosophy centers around the human-animal bond and the need for that bond to be as undisturbed as possible throughout a difficult time.

The Healthspan study successfully recruited over 500 dogs from across the United States, exceeding our target enrollment. The aim of the Healthspan Study was to better understand various aging and aging-related biomarkers and how they may relate to dog size and age. Dogs were evaluated by specially trained veterinarians at 11 locations across the country, from traditional private veterinary hospitals to university medical centers, and in our novel pop-up style mobile study sites. The data gathered in the Healthspan Study will advance the field’s understanding of aging in dogs and help develop treatments that reduce the impact of aging on our dogs. https://loyalfordogs.com/the-healthspan-study/
