Obtained a research scholarship to participate in a pilot study investigating the blood-milk barrier of the dairy cow. In this study, we isolated mammary epithelial cells from milk and, through cell culture techniques and permeability assays, we demonstrated that these cells can form tight monolayers suitable for drug transport studies.
