Hi there! My name is Dr. Annie Marcum and I am a small animal veterinarian from Kansas City, MO. I graduated from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 2021. I am currently working as a small animal veterinarian at Kansas City Veterinary Care. I'm also still involved with Victim to Verdict, which is a company that aims to educate veterinarians about animal cruelty cases and their duty to report.

I am personally responsible for retrospectively collecting incidence data on ringworm and feline leukemia virus. I am also the outreach coordinator for animal shelters and community veterinarians to become involved with the surveillance system.

I learned many things about the small animal medical field in this position. This includes biochemical, quantitative, and qualitative animal diagnostic testing. Knowledge of common domestic animal ailments and treatments. Ability to speak professionally and candidly with clients. I also was trained as a surgery nurse assistant.
