The Rice University Student Association is the governing and representative body for all undergraduate students at Rice University. It serves students across Rice’s 12 residential colleges, each of which elects its own president and senator to represent college interests within the Association, and it supports a campus community of 400+ student organizations. The Student Association advocates on behalf of undergraduates at the university, local, and state levels, ensures student representation on key university committees, and works to improve student life across campus. The Student Association also oversees and allocates student funding, including through the Blanket Tax system — a student-approved activity fee that supports Blanket Tax Organizations (BTOs) and funds programs, services, and initiatives that enrich the undergraduate experience.
