Ciral Fusion is an Australian deep-tech company developing Impact-Initiated Fusion (IIF), a novel approach to fusion energy. Fusion has the potential to provide abundant, zero-carbon firm power. But the field has stalled on learning rate: hardware experiments cost hundreds of millions, iteration cycles take years, and most programmes are optimising for monolithic power plants decades away. Ciral is pursuing a different path. Our pulsed fusion architecture is designed to enable smaller, modular systems that scale through replication, not facility size. The dominant complexity is geometry and timing, not sustained plasma confinement, which means each experiment is smaller, cheaper, and faster to build. We've completed our initial simulation and modelling phase, with our multi-physics model independently validated by plasma physics researchers. We're now entering Phase A: our first experimental hardware programme.
