CovenantMD is a Direct Primary Care practice. Our mission is to reinvigorate the patient/doctor relationship. Primary care has fallen on hard times these days. This is because our experience of primary care is dictated by health insurance. When insurance is paying for the less expensive, more common things, both patients and doctors lose control over the primary care experience. Patients typically wait days or weeks to get a brief appointment with the healthcare provider that knows them. They fear hidden costs, especially in this era of high-deductible insurance. And if something happens that requires care after hours, they must see yet another provider that doesn’t know them as well as their primary care provider.
